ORDA Olympic Jumping Complex Lodge

This project involved renovations and additions to the Ski Jumps Lodge at the Olympic Jumping Complex in Lake Placid, New York.  Additional work included a large, open, wood framed entry tower, as well as a ground level addition.

North Woods Engineering provided services from the schematic design phase forward, as requested, to support work done by ORDA.  The services included code review, foundation reinforcement design, second story structural steel deck design, structural design to reinforce the existing structure, structural analysis of the entry tower, preparation of plans and details supporting all efforts.  Structural design work included masonry, steel and concrete.  Design was aided by the in-house creation of a three dimensional structural model.

We coordinated closely with ORDA throughout construction and provided construction administration services as requested.
